Pam Byse met Morris Chestnut at a club in Atlanta where she was living. After that first encounter, they met a few more times and they started liking each other.

"We first crossed paths in a club during my time in Atlanta. Deion Sanders, Ron Grant, and Tiny Lister (Deebo from Friday) were there," Chestnut recalls. "I was working on a TV movie in Atlanta, and Tiny, who was an Atlanta expert, shared insights about the city.

While we were hanging out, he mentioned various people, and when I inquired about Pam, my now-wife, he advised me not to bother, saying, 'She doesn't give anybody any play.' That statement immediately piqued my interest, and I thought, 'That's the woman I need to approach.'" 

Fast forward, and Morris Chestnut and Pam Byse are celebrating 27 years of marriage. Despite the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, Chestnut values the lasting connection he shares with his wife.

Reflecting on their journey, Chestnut shares, "One of the things that convinced me she was the one was her character. She has three older sisters with kids, and observing her interactions with her nephew during our dating days revealed her nurturing nature. 

I knew she would not only be an excellent partner but also a wonderful mother to my children."

Marriage

Pam and Morris decided to get married in 1995 and they are married till now which is very uncommon for Hollywood Couples. 

They have a great understanding and created a wonderful family understanding of each other's needs. According to Morris, Pam has always provided him and family the support needed.
