In his early wrestling years, Rey Mysterio was trained by his uncle Rey Misterio Sr. He learned the Lucha Libre high flying style that inspired his iconic 619 moves, and it has been his trademark in WWE. Previously he had ring names such as 'La Lagartija Verde (The Green Lizard)' and 'Colibrí (Humming bird).' His uncle later gave him the name of Rey Misterio Jr. In 1991.
