In the early 1970s, Jay started in 'King's Road', playing in 'The Rocky Horror Show.' He then went to feature in other theatrical works. He played in 'Sweet Bird of Youth' produced by Harold Pinter, 'The Foreigner,' 'Filumena' produced by Franco Zeffirelli. In the play 'Filumena,' he played alongside the prominent British actor Pierce Brosnan.
