The pair announced that they were expecting their first child on April 13, 2009. On October 8, 2009, Mackynzie Renee Duggar was born in the couple's home. Afterward, Michael James Duggar was born on June 15, 2011.

Marcus Anthony Duggar was born on June 2, 2013. Similarly, Meredith Grace Duggar was born on July 16, 2015, and they welcomed Mason Garrett Duggar on September 12, 2017.
