Actress Jessica Walter, best known for her role on 'Arrested Development,' has passed away at the age of 80. She took her last breath in her sleep at home in New York City on March 24.

'It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica,' Jessica's daughter Brooke Bowman said in a statement. 'A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on-screen and off. While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class, and overall joie de vivre.'
Walter is well known for her roles in movies such as Clint Eastwood's directorial debut 'Play Misty for Me' and 'Grand Prix.' She also appeared in the show named 'Trapper John M.D.' Her most notable role in a television series includes her portrayal of Lucille Bluth on the sitcom 'Arrested Development.' She also voice-acted Malory Archer on FX’s animated series 'Archer.'

Jessica Walter was nominated for Emmy Awards for her part on 'Trapper John M.D.' and 'Streets of San Francisco' and 'Arrested Development,' for which she also had two SAG Awards nominations. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for her part on 'Amy Prentiss.'
