"Black Panther" Actress Dorothy Steel, Dead at the age of 95
As per Atlanta Black Star, Dorothy Steel, who played a tribal elder in Black Panther, died at 95.

Steel passed away on Friday morning at her home in Detroit, according to her agent, Cindy Butler of iSubmit Talent.
The veteran actress was born in 1926 and didn't start acting until she was 88 years old. Steel's early credits include an episode of the TV show The Trouble With Going Somewhere, the movie Merry Christmas, Baby, and the film Daisy Winters.

Dorothy showed up as a merchant tribe in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther in 2018. She discussed her reservation about the film during an interview with Steve Harvey. "At my age, there's no way I'm going to be in a comic strip," Further, Steel told her agent. "She was unyielding in her pursuit." I have to give her credit because she told me, 'Ms. Dorothy, you can do this.'
Steel followed up her appearance in Black Panther with a recurring role as Mother Harris on the series Saints & Sinners. She later appeared in the comedy Poms, Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses, and BET's The Oval.
