Rigsby is well-known for being one of the founding partners of the Santa Monica, California-based real estate firm Industry Partners. Rigsby graduated from the University of Arizona in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.

Scott "has substantial office and creative space experience, as well as skills in the areas of development, design, and space planning," according to his bio on the Industry Partners website. Prior to joining Industry Partners, he was a Vice President at Lee & Associates/West Los Angeles, where he was in charge of completing over a million square feet of creative office space.

Burke and Rigsby first appeared on the red carpet together in 2019, when she claimed that her children "truly liked" him. Burke told reporters at the time that her relationship was "wonderful because he is a great father."

Burke's father abandoned the family when she was two years old, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather thereafter. She won her first beauty contest when she was 14 years old. 

A few years later, Brooke and a friend flew to Scottsdale, Arizona, to audition for a modeling agency. She got a talent agency very immediately.

Burke went to both Sahuaro and Palo Verde high schools, where she was homecoming queen in 1989. She was a busy print model at the age of 18, appearing in bikini calendars, billboards, and magazine covers.
