In 1997, Burke gained her first national exposure when she modeled lingerie for Frederick's of Hollywood. Her career took up when she was hired to host Wild On, a show on the fledgling E! Entertainment cable network. 

During Brooke's three-year run as host of Wild On, an adrenaline-fueled reality show about partying in exotic locations throughout the world that aired from 1999 to 2002, Burke was introduced to more than 400 million homes in 120 countries, eventually pushing her to celebrity status.

Burke participated in the TV host edition of The Weakest Link in 2001 and was eliminated in round two. The actress hosted the CBS summer reality show Rock Star in 2005 and 2006.
