Boston Bruins Star Player David Pastrnak Announces Death of His Newborn Son through Instagram.
Hockey star David Pastrnak who plays for Boston Bruins announced on Monday that his infant son has died. He and his girlfriend, Rebecca Rohlsson, welcomed their first son, Viggo Rohl Pastrnak, on June 17. But, unfortunately, he died at just six days old.
David wrote on Instagram that they had an Angel watching over them, and they call him SON. In addition, he asked followers to respect the family's privacy as they go through "these heartbreaking times."

The Bruins posted a statement on Twitter that they are heartbroken by the passing of David and Rebecca's son Viggo. They also mentioned that David and Rebecca are part of the Bruins family, and they share their loss.
Born in the Czech Republic, Pastrnak, 25, has played on for the Bruins since 2014. He and his sweetheart announced in a gender reveal video that they were expecting a boy.
In an interview with NHL.com in May, David spoke about being a father. He said that he is getting ready for the baby, and they couldn't be more excited. So, at home, hockey's not been talked about much, and sometimes that's good.

David has played in 48 games in 2020-21 and was third on the Bruins with 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists). Pastrnak was the co-winner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the league's leading goal scorer (48) last season. He has 200 goals and 427 points in 438 games.
