Elon Musk Break Up With Grimes After 3 Years Together

As per Hollywood Life, Elon Musk and Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, have called it quits or "semi" quits after three years together. In a statement issued to Page Six on Friday, September 24, the billionaire founder of SpaceX, 50, confirmed that he and the musician, 33, are "semi-separate" but will continue to co-parent their son  X Æ A-Xii.

Musk began dating Grimes in April 2018. The couple made their red carpet debut in May of that year at the Met Gala. According to a source at the time, Elon reached out to the singer on Twitter due to their mutual love of artificial intelligence jokes.

After Grimes announced her pregnancy in January 2020, the duo welcomed the son X Æ A-Xii in May 2020, and the name went viral.

Grimes explained the moniker on Twitter: “X, the unknown variable •Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) •A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat).” 

The lovebirds attended the 2021 Met Gala together before their September 2021. Grimes walked the red carpet by herself, but Elon later joined her inside. As per the billionaire statement, the two are still on good terms and will co-parent Baby X.

Elon Musk's first wife was Justine Musk, whom he married in 2000. They had five kids together. Unfortunately, the duo got separated in 2008. Elon began dating English actress Talulah Riley a few months after his divorce from his first wife.

It had been a whirlwind romance. After meeting in 2008, the lovebirds got married in Scotland in 2010. Elon and Riley divorced in 2012 after they separated the following year. The couple reconciled and married again in 2013 but separated for good three years later in 2016.

The SpaceX founder then moved on to Amber Heard, whom Musk began dating in late 2016, shortly after the actress divorced Johnny Depp. But due to their hectic schedules, they broke up.
