Blogger and influencer Ethan Peters, best known by the name Ethan is Supreme, recently passed away on Sunday. He was 17 years of age. According to his father, Gerald, he suspected Ethan died of a drug overdose after finding him unresponsive in his bedroom on Sunday morning. But he had already passed away, and the death resulted from taking Percocets, a highly addictive opioid pain medication. Many people are speculating suicide, but there's no definitive proof for that. 'He was a kind soul, who accepted everyone for who they were,' his father said. 

Ethan Peters, YouTuber with 139,000 subscribers and over 500k Instagram followers, was a popular makeup artist. Several fans and friends of Peters mourned his death on social media. 'My best friend in the entire world, my twin flame…..the only person there for me when I had no one,' Ethan's friend Ava Louise shared on twitter, who is also an influencer. 'I love you, Ethan, I am at a loss for words. I wish I knew how bad it was. I know what you'd want me to say to the Internet rn but I'm to [sic] heartbroken to say it. Rip.' According to Louise, Ethan had been fighting addiction.

Ethan Peters Generated a Large Number of Fan Followings Through His Makeup Tutorials and Reviews on His YouTube Channel

Ethan Peters, with his popularity as Ethan, is Supreme, was a well-known social media personality. He had over half a million Instagram followers and over 141k subscribers on his YouTube channel. He had begun his journey into social media fame early, and by 2017, he had already gained over 100,000 followers. According to BBC, he even left his private Christian school because of his social media activity '[violated] their moral conduct code.' This mainly had to do with the fact that he was gay.

The administration of the Christian school also later implied that he was not welcome, although he received support from fellow students. Ethan had started studying online, therefore. He even had recently started his own clothing line called Hellboy.

Ethan had also spoken about bullying, as he had shared a picture of when he was young just one day before his death. 'Would just like to thank everyone who bullied me,' he captioned the post. 'I do this like once every year to see how much I've changed and the only thing that hasn't is the dark circles sksks.'

There Were Some Negative Reactions to Ethan Peters' Death Too

Ethan Peters was accused of racism and transphobia in the past. He once made fun of Thomas Halbert, who suffered from an eating disorder, and the drama drew criticisms from many people. He even had to make an apology video for that as the incident took a big form. Therefore, there were a significant number of people too, who were making negative reactions towards his death. But Ethan was defended by many fans and fellow influencers.

'He's made many many mistakes,' makeup artist Manny MUA wrote. 'but to say he deserved to pass away is horrible and inhuman.' Ava Louise blamed Ethan's death on his addiction. 'If anyone talks negatively about my friend and his actions over the past year he was battling addiction,' she tweeted. 'Speak positively of Ethan. He was an artist & inspiration. So talented.'
