Pugh also skipped the Venice Film Festival press conference, allegedly due to filming commitments for Dune: Part Two, only to show up for the red carpet later that night. She will continue her disappearing act at a Don't Worry Darling Q&A session live at New York City's AMC Lincoln Square Imax Theatre on September 19, sources tell Rolling Stone, adding fuel to the fire.

An on-set source addressed the rumored friction between Wilde and Florence by saying, "From what I understand, there is friction, but I don't know why." She said of Pugh, "It's pretty obvious she's choosing not to be part of the PR. It is evidently not in Olivia's best interest for her to be excluded from the PR. It must be a Florence decision."
