Greg Gutfeld is a prominent American TV personality known for his work as a political commentator, comedian, author, producer, and journalist. He was born in San Mateo, California, in 1964, and grew up with his parents Jackie and Alfred Gutfeld. 

After completing high school at Junipero Serra High School, he earned a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Gutfeld began his career in journalism as an intern with The American Spectator before moving to Prevention magazine's staff. He later edited a few magazines published by Rodale Press while living in Pennsylvania. In 1995, he joined Men's Health magazine as a writer and eventually rose to become its editor-in-chief in 1999.

Gutfeld's next venture was as the editor-in-chief of Stuff magazine, owned by Dennis Publishing. He was an instrumental force behind the magazine's rapid growth during the early 2000s, with circulation rising from just over 750,000 to 1.2 million.

Despite the setback, Gutfeld continued to excel in his career, working as an editor of Maxim magazine from 2004 to 2006. In 2005, he became one of the first contributors to the newly-launched The Huffington Post, where he continued to contribute until October 2008. 

In 2007, Gutfeld began hosting Red Eye, a late-night hour-long talk show on Fox News. He hosted the show until February 2015, after which he was succeeded by Tom Shillue. In 2011, Gutfeld became one of the hosts and panelists of The Five, a political talk show aired on Fox News. 

He also began hosting his own show, The Greg Gutfeld Show, on Fox News in 2015. The show's name was eventually changed to Gutfeld! on April 5, 2021. 

As an author, Greg Gutfeld has published two books. The first, titled The Scorecard: The Official Point System for Keeping Score in the Relationship Game, was published in 1997. Two years later, he published The Scorecard at Work: The Official Point System for Keeping Score on the Job.
