Iron Butterfly Drummer, Ron Bushy, Passed Away At The Age Of 79
One of the well-known American drummers, Ron Bushy, passed away at the age of 79. Bushy was famous as the drummer for the rock band Iron Butterfly.
The tragic news was confirmed by the official Facebook page of the band. The post says, "Ron Bushy our beloved legendary drummer of Iron Butterfly has passed away peacefully, with his wife Nancy Bushy by his side."
Bushy left the world at 12:05 am on August 29 at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. All three of his daughters were also with him.

Sharing a black and white photo, the band writes that he was a real fighter. "He will be deeply missed!" the post says. TMZ says that Bushy was battling some form of cancer.
Bushy was born on December 23, 1941, in Washington, D.C. The drummer got an appreciation for In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, where he was a solo drummer. Also, he was only the member of the group who appeared in all six of their studio albums.

Besides Iron Butterfly, Bushy was also part of two other bands. He was part of the band Magic from 1977 to 1978 for a year. Similarly, he was part of Gold from 1978 to 1980.
