Just two years following his NFL retirement, Jordan Gross decided to take a break from his job as a sideline reporter for the radio network of the Panthers. He made the decision to spend more time with his wife and children. 'I just want to spend time with my family,' he told The News & Observer. 'I loved the opportunity. I love the Panthers. I just want to have more availability, try some new stuff in life.'

The former offensive tackle also lost 70 pounds of weight after seven months of his retirement. That was a significant change in his life, and now, his decision to take a break is also a new experience for him. 'I really don’t have this great, other plan,' he said. 'The only thing you can’t buy more of is time. And my eyes are wide open to that. I want to enjoy my life as much as possible.'

Jordan Gross Spends Time With His Family Living In-Between in the Charlotte Area And His Native Idaho Home

Jordan Gross and his family continue to live in the Charlotte area during the school year while spending time in his native Idaho over the summer. He started Little Buddy Farm a few years ago and sometimes work on the 80-acre farm. And his wife Dana is loving her time in Carolina too.

'We started dating my first year of varsity football in high school, so she's experienced all of it. She was pumped,' Jordan told Panthers. 'There have been accolades for football over the years, but this one is the best. It means a lot because I care so much about the people here. And to think that everybody thinks good enough of me to include me, it's awesome.'
