A crowd surge during rapper Travis Scott's headlining performance at the festival, which an estimated 50k people attended, killed eight people, as per Daily Mail.

"I'm still a loss for words after hearing the news from Astroworld." "I 'm heartbroken for the families who have lost loved ones, and my prayers go out to everyone involved," Kendall wrote on her Instagram story.

"I'm sending all of my love and strength to everyone who has been affected during this incredibly devasting and sensitive time," Kendall added.

Kim wrote on her Instagram story, "Absolutely heartbroken for the lives lost and anyone who was injured at Astroworld." Like everyone, our family is in a state of shock due to the tragedy. We are keeping all the victims, families, and loved ones affected in our thoughts and prayers for healing as well as Travis, who we know care so much about his fans, is truly devastated." 

Travis issued a statement shortly after learning about the tragedy, and he is now taking additional steps.
