Humphries spent $7.495 million for a 4,542 square foot Hollywood Hills property in 2018, while he sold his refurbished Beverly Hills home for $8.25 million in 2017. Kris spent $6.2 million on the 3,300-square-foot home in 2015.

Kris Humphries was selected 14th overall in the 2004 NBA draft and spent two seasons with the Utah Jazz. He and colleague Robert Whaley were moved to the Toronto Raptors in June 2006 in exchange for Rafael Araujo, and despite Humphries didn't get much playing time at first.

Humphries set a career-high with seven offensive rebounds in just 27 minutes on March 28, 2007, then repeated the feat on April 13th of the same year with nine offensive rebounds and 18 total rebounds.

Kris fractured his fibula in January 2009. He was forced to miss the rest of the season and was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in July, with teammates Nathan Jawai and Shawn Marion. Humphries spent a few months with the Mavericks before being moved to the New Jersey Nets in January 2010.

Humphries finished fifth in the NBA in rebounding, and the Nets, who changed their name to the Brooklyn Nets after moving from New Jersey to New York, re-signed him in July 2012, this time paying him $24 million over two years. 

Despite his new contract, Kris was moved by the Nets to the Boston Celtics in June 2013. Then the Celtics traded him to the Washington Wizards in July 2014. Humphries was dealt with the Phoenix Suns in February 2016, where he played four games before joining the Atlanta Hawks on March 1. 

Humphries was re-signed by the Hawks for $4 million in July 2016, and after his one-year contract expired, he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in September 2017. Kris announced his retirement on March 26, 2019, in an article for "The Player's Tribune" titled "I Never Wanted to Be That Guy."
