Lauren Zima and her boyfriend Chris Harrison have been dating for well over two years now. But before the two developed a romantic relationship with each other, they used to be in a professional relationship.

Lauren Zima revealed in an interview with 'The Bachelor' alum Nick Viall on his podcast, The Viall Files, that she actually interviewed Chris Harrison for three years.

'[Lauren Zima] is one of the best interviewers I ever face, and when I go into an interview with her, I have to have my head on straight because she is so good at just finding the crack and then going in,' Chris Harrison also told Viall in another interview on The Viall Files podcast.

But it turns out Lauren Zima was not attracted to Chris Harrison during their professional relationship. 'It was always incredibly professional,' she admits, as per Showbiz Cheat Sheet. 'Not in a negative way … but I never looked at him and ever considered [if] I found him attractive.'

But it all changed one day after an exchange between the two that made Lauren Zima fall for Chris Harrison.

'He just gave me a different vibe,' Lauren Zima said, as per The List. 'It was fairly overt. He mentioned something about picking his kids up or something. He somehow brought up being single, I think. And then I said something like, 'I'm single now,' and he was like,' Oh.' But I said it in a more eloquent way. God, I don't know. Somehow it was communicated … I opened the door, and he walked through.'

As it turns out, Lauren Zima was the one to make the first move. 'Oh, I DM'd him,' she says. 'I will say, I DM'd after a bit of a vibe.'

And that's how Lauren and Chris began interacting romantically. Chris is a very charismatic person, so she felt comfortable enough to make the first move. She also said that Harrison also gave her a few hints of reciprocating her feelings, so she moved things forward on her own at first. 

Lauren Zima and Chris Harrison kept it fairly quiet at the beginning of their relationship. But after dropping a few hints on Instagram, they went public with their relationship.

'We came to the realization that we didn't want to hide — we wanted to be able to date and enjoy life,' Chris Harrison says of them going public with their relationship. 'When it got to the point where we were having to try to hide, we were like this is enough. We just wanted to live our lives.'
