The announcement of Lohan's marriage comes after the Parent Trap star referred to Shammas as her "husband" in an Instagram post on Friday.

"I am the luckiest woman on the planet. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and understood I wanted to find happiness and grace all at once "Lohan started her caption for a snapshot of the two of them.

She continued, saying: "I can't believe this is my husband. My entire life and everything. Every lady should feel this way every day."

Lohan announced her engagement to Shammas in November last year, uploading a gallery of images of herself beaming with her new fiance and showing off her ring. "My love. My life. My family. My future, "In the caption, she wrote.

"I'm definitely not like that," Lohan stated. "I'm more reserved. Even on my birthday, I want to ensure that everyone else is happy so that I can relax. So I'll try to be more like that."

"I'm looking at places to go," Lohan added. "I've already been discussing the outfit with a buddy. But I want to do things correctly and at my own pace. However, this is an exciting time. I'm a girly girl, so...."
