Last season, Messi tried to terminate his deal with Barcelona a year before the contract. But the football club said that the reason was not valid and ending the agreement wasn't possible. The club also threatened the footballer to take the case to court.
There were rumors that Messi made a sum of $674 million over his last contract with the club. The footballer also made $94.6 million as a loyalty bonus the previous season. The numbers are set to increase this year.
Jorge Messi, the father of Lionel, is also his manager. As per credible sources, Jorge is in a regular meeting with Barcelona's president Joan Laporta. There are reports that two parties may have a deal of two years.
PSG and Manchester City seemed to be serious about having Leo in their club. PSG had once shown their desire to call the football king in Paris.
Though Messi can join any club, it seems that the player will stay with Barcelona. The footballer had some tension with former president Josep Maria Bartomeu, but Lionel Messi has no problem being in the club under the presidency of Joan Laporta.
