Lynn Shelton had appeared on Marc's podcast in both 2015 and 2018. She also directed the 2019 film 'Sword of Trust,' which starred Maron.

Marc Maron is devastated by his partner's unexpected death. An article by Daily Mail mentioned the statement released by Marc Maron following his girlfriend's death. Marc Maron broke the news of Lynn's death in the statement. 'I have some awful news. Lynn passed away last night. She collapsed yesterday morning after having been ill for a week,' Marc said in the statement Saturday. There was a previously unknown, underlying condition. It was not COVID-19.'

Lynn and Marc were just starting their life together. He also expressed his pain of losing his lover. 'I loved her very much as I know many of you did as well. It's devastating. I am leveled, heartbroken, and in complete shock and don't really know how to move forward in this moment,' he added. 'She was a beautiful, kind, loving, charismatic artist. Her spirit was pure joy. She made me happy. I made her happy. We were happy. I made her laugh all the time. We laughed a lot. We were starting a life together. I really can't believe what is happening,' Maron said in conclusion. 'This is a horrendous, sad loss.'

According to E!online, Late Lynn Shelton was survived by her son Milo Seal, her boyfriend Marc Maron, her parents Wendy and Alan Roedell, and David "Mac" Shelton and Frauke Rynd. She was also survived by her brothers David Shelton, Robert Rynd, and sister Tanya Rynd. 

She was formerly married to actor Kevin Seal from 2011 to 2019.
