'Gus is here,' she wrote in the caption of the Instagram picture of her newborn baby. 'Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.'
In September 2020, Mandy Moore had made an announcement saying that she was expecting a baby. At the time, she shared a picture of herself and Goldsmith, in which he was seen placing his hand on his wife's stomach. She also informed her fans that 'Baby Boy Goldsmith' was due in 'early 2021.'
Early this month, Mandy Moore disclosed that her original birth plan did not seem to work, and she had to make a completely new plan.
'It's something I never thought about until I got, I'd say, early to midway through my third trimester,' she revealed earlier this month, as per Pop Culture. 'They [her platelet counts] sort of started dropping pretty precipitously and fell below the threshold that would make it possible for me to do a home birth. Unfortunately, my plans have had to change.'
Eventually, all went well for Mandy Moore.
Mandy Moore and her husband Taylor Goldsmith were married in 2018, after about three years of dating. The wedding was small, with just close family and friends attending the ceremony.
