But some results of his weight loss were also seen but not noticed by many in early 2020. An article by CBS Sports claims Jokic said in February that he had lost 20-25 pounds during the season through diet and exercise, suggesting Nikola was into weight loss journey way before the lockdown. Additionally, the article mentioned his weight loss coincided with the upward trajectory of his play -- he averaged 25.5 points, 10 rebounds and 7.2 assists on 64 percent shooting in the month of February.

And, it is safe to speculate that the NBA star just got more time to involve in the weight loss routine he began then. More clearly, he continued his diet plan and fitness routine and could spend more time into it, since he had all the free time. As reported in an article by Fox Sports, Nikola himself sent Tim the results of his intense weight loss journey. 'He sent me a picture,' Tim said. 'No shirt on. He's got abs. I've never seen him have abs before.'

While everyone is pumped up of his new appearance and fit body, Nikola's personal trainer Jure Drakslar is not all that pleased. 'He's not in the best shape,' Jure said, according to an article by Dallas News. 'Which is normal. NBA games will not be played before the end of July, so there is enough time to help him recover and get ready. But he added, 'However, he undoubtedly would be ready to play right now,' giving the fans a sigh of relief.
