Paulo Costa was concerned about the weight requirement he needed to meet in order to face Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title, in which the competitors must weight 185 pounds. Both of the fighters were so far undefeated with a combined record of 32 wins and no losses in their professional MMA careers until the fight that took in Saturday saw Paula lose to Israel.

But due to the current coronavirus pandemic, it was relatively difficult for Paulo Costa to train and workout to drop pounds.
