The duo played tennis on their first date, and things went on from there. After a year of seeing each other around Phil's golf schedule, he invited Amy to attend the Bob Hope Celebrity Pro-Am in Palm Springs, Calif., not far from Phoenix. It wasn't long after the tournament that the twosome started getting close.
After four years of dating, the partners got married on Nov. 16, 1996. Three years later, Amy gave birth to their first child, Amanda. Phil, who's worth $375 million - was in the middle of a Sunday round of the 1999 U.S. Open, so Amy decided not to inform her husband of going into labor. Phil finished in second place right behind the late Payne Stewart.

Their second child, Sophia, was born in 2001. However, the birth of their youngest son, Evan, proved more challenging than the other. Amy faced a life-threatening delivery in 2003 with Evan, and the child did not get breath for seven minutes. Furthermore, Amy ruptured an artery in her uterus. Fortunately, both survived the problematic birth — the couple share three children among themselves.
