The internet personality Mat George, 26, who co-hosted popular podcast She Rates Dogs, died following the hit-and-run collision in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department and his She Rates Dogs co-host, Michaela Oakland, confirmed George's death.

Michaela Okland took Twitter to detail Mat's demise and wrote that she would instead want her fans to know about the news through her rather than news articles. Oakland continued to report that George was killed in a hit and run, and she wished she could contact every person who knows Mat personally.

As per Today reports, while George was walking in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of L.A., a white BMW suddenly hit him at about 2:30 a.m. Sources claim, after the incident, the car headed eastbound.

Beyond that, no new news has been released, and the police's investigation is still going on. However, police urge people to help them in the case; if anyone who believes has information relevant to the accident to contact them.
