The 62-year-old music entrepreneur, known for his love of gas-guzzling Rolls-Royce Phantoms, explained that he purchased the vehicle from premium maker Tesla because his seven-year-old child is "obsessed" with global warming.

His impressive automotive collection includes a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, a Jaguar Eagle Speedster, a Bugatti Veyron, and a Mini. "My son is obsessed with climate change, he's taught me a lot recently," he told the crowd at recent Britain's Got Talent auditions at the London Palladium, according to The Mirror.

"He cleans up the beaches," says the narrator. "I believe that is something that we should all be concerned about right now. I recently purchased a Tesla."

Sir David Attenborough enthused over the recital in his response after a dancing act performed a climate change-themed performance with a voiceover from him.

"My son is going to love this," Syco's boss stated. "That's how you make an impression on a show like this."

David Walliams made a hilarious dig at his co-star, pointing out that Simon is a big admirer of gas-guzzling private jets, saying, "You simply borrow Elton's, don't you?"
