Carmelo Anthony tied the knot with the television personality actress Alani Nicole "La La" Vazquez. The relationship journey of the NBA star and his soulmate, actress, La La Anthony, began in 2003.

Shortly after Carmelo has played as a freshman at Syracuse University, they crossed paths and won a National Championship for his college. In 2003, La La had only started to gain popularity in her burgeoning career as a VJ on MTV's 'Total Request Live.' 

However, they both felt an instant connection and started seeing each other. On the following year, Christmas, in 2004, the NBA athlete surprised his sweetheart by proposing, which she accepted. Back then, she was only 19.

La La and Carmelo were happy together and even welcomed their only child, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, on March 7, 2007. After a five-and-a-half-year engagement and over three years of blissful parenthood, the Anthonys shared their wedding vows on July 10, 2010.

La La Anthony Reveals She and Her Lover Carmelo Anthony are Together

During the Lockdown in 2020, due to the COVID-19, La La and Carmelo quarantined together. She shared during the lockdown period, they were on good terms.

Previously La La Anthony shared that she and the athlete, 35, are on good terms, for which their son is thankful. “It’s actually been smooth sailing,” she said. She feels great to see her son happy in the midst of lockdown due to COVID.

La La and Carmelo split in April 2017 after seven years of marriage. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in December 2018 that they were back together.
