Jen Psaki is happily married to Gregory Mecher. She and her husband have similar professional backgrounds. Mecher works as a Democratic campaigner. He was born in Ohio in 1976 and attended Elder Hugh School, a Catholic prep school for boys in Cincinnati.

Gregory earned a degree in communications and television production from Nothern Kentucky University. He pursued and landed an internship with Kentucky Congressman Ken Lucas immediately after graduating from college. 

Mecher also served as the chief of staff for Congressman Steve Driehaus of Ohio and Rep. Joe Kennedy III of Massachusetts in Washington, DC.

Sadly, soon after they started dating, Psaki had to travel all across the country because of Obama's Presidential campaign, and Mecher had to stay on the east coast because of his job. Despite long distances and hectic work schedules, the pair made their relationship work and finally, in March 2009,  the couple got engaged after her then-boyfriend- and now husband Mecher proposed to her at their home in Washington D.C.

As for the wedding, it was a grand affair. They exchanged vows at Woodlawn Farm in Ridge, Maryland, on May 8, 2010. and was attended by more than 220 guests, including then-White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, speechwriter Jon Favreau, and television journalists David Shuster and Jake Tapper.

Psaki and her husband have been married for nearly a decade and have two lovely children. Due to privacy concerns, the couple does not share many details about their kids in public. Nonetheless, it is revealed that the couple's eldest kid is a daughter named Genevieve Mercher.

Psaki's father is now retired, but he used to work as a real estate developer. Her mother worked as a therapist. Jen'sPsaki's ancestors come from Greece (her parental grandfather immigrated to the United States from Greece in 1904) and Poland and Ireland. Her parents married in 1976, and she was born two years later. 

Psaki grew up in Stamford and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996. After that, she pursued a double major in English and sociology at William and Mary. The red-head beauty joined the Chi Omega sorority while at William and Mary. Also, she was a member of the William and Mary Tribe athletes during her college years.
