Katherine's family is well known in the city of Lawrence, Kansas, and Massachusetts. She is the eldest among her two siblings. Together with her sister Elizabeth Cartter and brother Patrick Carttar she had a wonderful childhood.

Katherine Carttar's Career Details

Katherine Carttar began her professional journey back in 2005. She started working as an Agriculture Marketing Specialist at Peace Corps. After that, in 2008, Carttar joined American Jazz Museum as a development manager. She was there from 2008 to 2010.

After leaving American Jazz Museum, Carttar joined the City of Edwardsville, Kansas as a management analyst. She stayed active there from 2010 to 2011.

From 2013 to 2015, Katherine worked in the City of Kansas City as economic development analyst. After two years working at that post, she began to serve as a development specialist there and stayed active until April 2018. Currently, she works at the Unified Government of Kansas City as an economic development director, as noted in her Linked In profile.

Regarding Katherine's education, she graduated with a BA in economics and history from Wellesley High School in Massachusetts in 2005. Later, Carttar caught Boston College, where she was part of the campus a Capella group. Subsequently, Carttar went abroad and enrolled at the University College Dublin in Ireland.

Katherine Carttar tied the knot with her husband, Quinton Lucas, on April 9, 2021. The pair dated for quite a long before making things serious between them.

Professionally, her beau, Quinton, is the 55th and the current mayor of the Democratic political party in Kansas City, Missouri, who lived in a historic 18th and Vine district. Going through social media, we can see that Carttar has supported her better half in the mayoral elections in 2019. 

Katherine and her sweetheart welcomed their first baby in the same month of their marriage. Precisely, they gave birth to their son on April 19; they shared the news of being parents through their social pages. They named their son Bennett Lucas.

Talking more about their child, Katherine and Quinton have said that their son faced some unspecified medical complications at birth and was in neonatal intensive care. 

Luckily, it seems little Lucas has been revamped, and Quinton thanked the neonatal intensive care staff at the University of Kansas Hospital. Mayor is looking forward to introducing Kansas City's newest Chief's fan, Bennett, to Kansas Citizens when the right time occurs.
