80-year-old Lesley was born on December 16, 1941, in Lynn, Massachusetts, U.S. The veteran journalist was raised in Swampscott, Massachusetts, by her parents Dorothy J. and Louis E. Stahl, a food company executive. There she attended Wheaton College, where she was an honors graduate, majoring in history. She had to undergo plastic surgery to tighten her skin due to age so she could continue reporting.

Before having a family of her own with her second beau, Lesley was married to her ex, Jeffrey Gordon. Unfortunately, they only stayed as a married pair for three years. 

According to Gossip Gist, Lesley shared vows with Jeffrey back in 1964. Like every newlywed couple, they were having a blast, but for some unknown reason, their marriage ended in 1967.

After parting ways with her first beau, Jeffrey, she tied the knot with her current lover, Aaron Latham. They walked down the aisle on February 17, 1977.

Professionally Lesley's better-half, Aaron, is a journalist who wrote an article, which was later filmed as Urban Cowboy Movie. According to News Amo Mama, the love birds first met in 1973. Aaron was searching for Watergate anecdotes for an article and was advised to contact the then-CBS rookie Lesley.

As noted by People, Lesley and Aaron's first encounter didn't go smooth; however, as they got to know each other, things got romantic between them, and gradually they moved together. With time they got close and even got pregnant with their first and only child in Christmas 1976.

Lesley had no plans of having a kid without being married; thus, following her pregnancy news, she and her then-boyfriend shared their vows in 1977. They welcomed a baby girl together and named her Taylor Latham.
