Tim and Demi-Leigh shared their vows on January 20, 2020, in an intimate sunset ceremony at La Paris Estate in Cape Town, in South Africa. The lovebirds started dating in 2018, and a year after that, they got engaged on January 10, 2019.

Former NFL quarterback proposed Nel-Peters, at sunset on his family's farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida. Tebow sealed the deal with a 7.25-carat solitaire ring. He secretly flew Demi-Leigh's family and closest friends from South Africa to Florida to witness the intimate engagement.

The wedding ceremony was attended by around 260 guests on a secluded lawn surrounded by tall hedges at the resort. According to People Magazine, approximately at 5:30 p.m. South African time, Nel-Peters walked down the aisle in a custom-made gown from David's Bridal accented by diamond and pearl earrings from Marion Rehwinkel Jewelry. The NFL quarterback Tebow wore a tuxedo designed by Antar Levar.

Since the couple is very traditional, their marriage ceremony included American and South African cultures and traditions. Their wedding lasted for 30 minutes, and the two exchanged heartfelt vows.

Miss South Africa 2017 was born on June 28, 1995, to Bennie Peters and Anne-Mari Steenkamp. Nel-Peters had a half-sister by the name Franje.
