Rey Mysterio's children have grown up already. Last year, his son Dominic, returned to WWE TV and announced that he'd be ringside for his father's WrestleMania 35 match against Samoa Joe for the United States Championship. Dominic and Aalyah have also appeared on WWE TV in the past.

In a 2005 episode of WWE, there was a storyline in which Rey Mysterio and the late wrestler Eddie Guerrero fought over the custody of Rey's son Dominic. Rey and Eddie were actually tag team champions after defeating the Basham Brothers at No Way Out. Guerrero abandoned Rey in a match with MNM and later revealed an unknown secret about Mysterio's family. According to the storyline, the families of both wrestlers were trying to keep the secret from getting out. Later, Eddie revealed the secret claiming he was the biological father of Rey's real-life son Dominic and that he "passed him on to Rey and his wife Angie because they were having issues starting a family of their own."

Rey Mysterio came from a family of wrestlers, and his son Dominic is following in his footsteps too. Rey Mysterio's other family members that are professional wrestlers include his uncle Rey Misterio Sr. and his cousins El Hijo de Rey Misterio and Metalika.
