Dan Bongino (born Daniel John Bongino) is an American political commentator who hosts radio shows and is also an author. Dan previously worked as a Secret Service agent and also ran for Congress as a Republican.

The political commentator joined the US Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent; later, Bongino left the New York Field Office in 2002 to become an instructor at the Secret Service Training Academy in Bettsville, Maryland. 

During George W. Bush's second term, Bongino was assigned to the US Presidential Protection Division and remained on duty till Barack Obama became the President.

Dan (net worth) now has a podcast-style youtube show, "Dan Bongino Show," where he mostly talks about current political affairs. But recently, the political commentator spoke about his health and revealed he is fighting an illness.

Dan Bongino shared the very personal and sad news with his fans during his YouTube show. The political commentator giving updates on his health revealed he has a tumor on his neck. 

During the Show, Dan seemed concerned and was very emotional. The political commentator further said the doctors still don't know if it is malignant or not.

On his Show's episode 1353, Dan said,

"I have to address it. So, I have a growth on my neck. It's on my left side. It's been there for a little bit of time now; I thought it was because I got choked out at jujitsu a few weeks ago pretty bad."

Bongino further added,

"I had some swelling, and I thought that's what it was, but I was shaving for "Fox and Friends" on Sunday morning, and weirdly enough, I received probably four or five Facebook messages saying, "Dan, you got a lump on your neck."

Dan Bongino Took Doctor's Advice

During the same Show, Dan (wife) stressed he took one of his friend's advice and went for a check-up. The political commentator said,

"As you know, guys don't typically take medical advice, my friends, and I don't, which isn't the smartest thing. I ignored, but that was a mistake, thank God I have a friend who is a doctor."

Dan Bongino further added,

"He used to be head and neck surgeon, and he went and gave a look right away and said, 'you need to have this checked out via imaging. I went yesterday; the look on the doctor's face changed a little bit, as he told me, 'it's is not lymphoma.' we are hoping it's not cancerous, but it's a tumor, and we don't know what it is yet."

The political commentator said he is hoping the lump on his neck is not cancer, but it's a tumor, and the doctors are still trying to figure out what caused it.

Well, Dan is permanently suspended from YouTube. Yes, the prominent right-wing commentator is kicked out of the video-sharing platform. Why? It all occurred after Dan disobeyed earlier suspension terms for spreading Covid disinformation, as noted by Forbes.
