Dexter: New Blood has delivered a slew of surprises this season, but in Episode 9, a shocking death was revealed, leaving fans gasping.

As per Brink Wire, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) is now living in the fictional upstate New York town of Iron Lake, where he is at odds with Kurt Caldwell (Clancy Brown), a rich businessman with a long-held dark secret: Spoilers for Dexter: New Blood's penultimate episode follow. 

The most recent episode of Dexter: New Blood deepens his bond with his teenage son, Harrison, who traveled to Iron Lake in search of his father, who is presumed dead. Dexter and Harrison's relationship was rocky until Dexter saved Harrison from being murdered by Kurt.

The wealthy former truck driver has been discovered to have kidnapped and murdered dozens of women, and Dex and Harrison discover his trophy room in Episode 9, where he displays the embalmed and preserved bodies of his victims. As the two surveys the terrifying bunker space, they come across a familiar victim: true crime podcaster Molly Park. 

Park came to Iron Lake to look into missing women's cases for an episode of her podcast, Merry F-ing Kill. While there, she became close to Police Chief Angela Bishop, whom Dexter is currently dating. She had lunch with Kurt and returned to his cabin, the same cabin where he kept and murdered the victims. Dexter followed them, suspicious of what was going on, and ended up saving Molly's life.

Molly and Angela later had a heated argument in the Sheriff's office, which resulted in Molly leaving upset. It was assumed she returned to Los Angeles. Angela was investigating the B&B room she's stayed in a while visiting Iron Lake in Episode 9, while Dexter and Harrison find out Molly's body in Kurt's morbid trophy room.
