Pop Culture learned that Hulu had renewed its streaming agreement with the show to keep it on the Disney-owned. After a deal with Warner Bros, Domestic Television, the show was added to the Hulu lineup in January 2018.

It was initially assumed that Hulu would lose the show because the 2018 contract only covered 4-year. ER has also appeared on HBO Max's "What's New" list and on WarnerMedia's platform on Jan 14. However, because Hulu's contract was extended, the show will be available on both platforms.

Micheal Crichton created ER, which premiered on NBC in September 1994. It was one of the popular television shows in the 1990s and lasted until April 2009.

ER completed 331 episodes over 15 seasons, making it the second-longest-running primetime medical drama, trailing only Grey's Anatomy. Georgy Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Julianna Marguiles, Noah Wyle and many other ER's ensemble cast became stars.

The show takes place at the fictitious Country General Hospital in Chicago. The show received 116 Primetime Emmy nominations, including the Outstanding Drama Series in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, the cast was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
