This Is Us Season 5 will premiere two weeks earlier than the previous date.
This Is Us season 5 filming was on halt due to the coronavirus pandemic; previously NBC announced the series will premiere on November 10. But recently the network the show will air a lot sooner than expected.
On Wednesday, during America's Got Talent finale, NBC announced 'This Is Us' Season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, October 27, two weeks earlier than the previously announced date.

Deadline reported that the series' filming is underway. The first episode of the show will be two hours long, the network shared previously. The first ep will air from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
The creator of the show, Dan Fogelman, talking to the Entertainment Weekly, said,
"We have a carefully crafted plan through six seasons of the television show that hundreds of people have now devoted for four-plus years of their lives executing. And we're going to execute that plan, no matter what's happening in the world."
Dan continued,
"What's happening in the world may shift the details of how things happen, but the big moves continue to happen — and actually potentially heighten and make better the television show then maybe some of our initial plans, because that's our job."
Fogelman further added,
"Here are the new rules we've been given. How do we continue to try and top ourselves and make things even better than they were?"
