Despite ripping his leather pants onstage in the middle of a performance, Nas X says his "Saturday Night Live" debut was his favorite night till now. The two-time Grammy winner didn't miss a beat with his choreography.

Before appearing on the show's Season 46 finale Saturday night, the rapper had plenty of jokes on Twitter. Lil Nas X performed "Sun Goes Down" and his recent hit "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," during which a move on a dance pole appeared to cause a wardrobe malfunction.

Despite all of that, he continued to do the rest of the show with the mic on one hand and the other holding his crotch intact. Not that he needs an excuse to grab his crotch on stage; the pants ripping one is pretty slick.

The musician tweeted, "MY PANTS RIPPED," after the show. Lil Nas X's (real name: Montero Lamar Hill) performance featured high production values and elaborate choreography. Still, he noted on Twitter that the mishap was not among the concepts he had prepared.

Later, when the singer tweeted, it turns out that this wasn't the only unplanned disaster-related to performance. Nas X also shared that he was afraid of performing in the first place. Due to one positive Covid test among the dancers, they had to switch them all out last-minute, after two weeks of rehearsals with the dancers.

Because of the Covid test, all dancers got removed, and new ones had to learn the routine in 24 hours, and then I ended up ripping my pants and couldn't finish," he continued in another tweet. "Everything happens for a reason tho lol."
