Andrade, coming from a long line of wrestlers, started in his career from the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Co., Ltd. in 2007 before moving on to New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2010. It wasn't until 2015 that the wrestler first appeared in NXT under a developmental contract. Two years later, Andrade defeated McIntyre to become a one-time NXT champion on November 18, 2017, and defended the title for 140 days before losing to Aleister Black and moving on to the main WWE roster.
Andrade won NXT championship on November 18, 2017 after defeating Mclntyre.
Andrade did win the US championship against Rey Mysterio, but that is not why he's been making the headlines lately. Recent news about the wrestler features his engagement with a known WWE woman superstar. So who is the WWE diva that Manuel Andrade Oropeza popped the question to? Let's discuss.
The 30 years old wrestler, Andrade, recently announced his engagement with Ric Flair's daughter Charlotte Flair. The duo first officially publicized their relationship back in April 2019 when they walked the red carpet together at the Wrestlemania 35 event.
Although the rumors of their romance date back as far as December 2018, neither disclosed any information on how the pair came to be until February. It wasn't long before the couple's engagement gossips got the internet into a frenzy, but that's all that was then, a gossip.
As reported by Inquisitr, Andrade opened up about his relationship to Super Luchas saying,
As we live in Orlando we train at the Performance Center. She helps me a lot, gives me advice on how to handle the cameras, the promos. She knows a lot about all that. And I have taught her what I learned in Mexico and Japan. Moves, holds, how to get hit, how to hit, how to show more personality, many things she likes. She gives me advice, I give her advice. We are always helping each other, and that benefits us a lot in the relationship we currently have.
Following his win against Rey Mysterio for the US championship title, after almost a year-long relationship, Andrade picked the perfect moment to propose Charlotte at the 2020 New Year. And the Queen replied 'Si,' a Spanish expression for the word yes.
In an episode of NXT on July 19, 2017, an unidentified woman appeared alongside Andrade. That unknown lady turned out to be Zelina Vega, Andrade's manager. Since then, Vega remained a big part of Andrade's career.
Around a year later, right after Zelina's break up with Austin Aries, speculations began surfacing about a potential budding romance between Andrade and Zelina Vega.
Andrade and his manager Zelina Vega were rumored to be dating but the gossips weren't true.

But the rumors were squashed by Zelina when she revealed in an interview with Lilian Garcia,
I feel like now – it's funny because people are like, oh my God, they are together – he is like my brother. We fight like brother and sister it is so funny. Even with the Tranquilo pose, he had done it for years and I was like, 'what if I had done it under you?' He was like, 'no, it's not going to happen. We are not going to do it like that.' I was like, 'no, trust me, it's going to be good. Just trust me.' He was like, 'okay fine. In Japan we will do it.' We had done it in Japan and it got a huge reaction.
So to be clear, the gossips surrounding Andrade and Zelina's romance were all just that; only rumors without a shred of truthfulness.
Right after Andrade exposed his engagement with Charlotte Flair, Charlotte's father Ric Flair, a former WWE superstar, took to his official Twitter account and posted his reaction on the big news.
Ric couldn't be more happy and proud on hearing the announcement and congratulated his daughter and soon to be son-in-law.
Andrade and Charlotte Flair's relationship seems to be going very smooth, unlike Flair's past two marriages that ended in divorce. With Andrade, it looks like Charlotte finally found her other half.
