Sarah Michelle Gellar Reveals a Stunning Throwback to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'

Sarah Michelle Gellar delivered one more of her fun nostalgics.

On Thursday, the actress captioned a picture of herself in a formal outfit beneath a leather jacket, “All dressed up and no where to go,” she wrote.

It was a resemblance that instantly caught the eyes of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' viewers, as it's the dress Gellar's Buffy Summers wore to the prom in the final episode of the debut season.

Gellar added, “I say we party,” a reference to the memorable Buffy quote from the same American drama, where her character states, “We saved the world, I say we party.”

The episode "Prophecy Girl," first broadcast on WB on 2nd June 1997 turned out to be the first time Buffy died, before returning to life.

The comment section, as expected, was filled with delight. “I couldn’t love this more! Buffy has been my quarantine binge because it’s my safe space and makes me feel normal/like myself,” a fan wrote on Instagram.

Several followers quoted another popular line from the series, "I might be dead but I'm still pretty."

Another fan enthused, “This was literally my dream dress for most of my life.”

Meanwhile, Gellar revealed the prom dress "might be all I have" when a follower wondered if she might share more original outfits from the series that lasted for seven years.

To Sarah's credit, she is known to bring back memories of Buffy even without the precise wardrobe.

The entire Buffy the Vampire Slayer series with a total of 144 episodes across seven seasons are available for streaming on Hulu.
