Dion was still a minor when she was already in love with her Rene Angil, as she said in her 2000 autobiography, 'My Story, My Dream.' While she already started singing and training, her mother used to travel with her all over, until she was 19. Things got hot between them after Celine won the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin in 1988 when she turned 20. While they kept the relationship to themselves for the first few years, she revealed all about her affair with her boyfriend in an interview with journalist Lise Payette.

After some significant preparations, the love birds tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, on December 17, 1994. Moreover, the two renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas on January 5, 2000.

Dion gave birth to fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson on October 23, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, with her then-husband Rene Angelil.
