Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their first baby.

Congratulations to the new parents! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child, baby girl, on Thursday. The couple named their daughter 'Daisy Dove Bloom.'

The couple shared the news on Katy's Instagram account via UNICEF. A picture of Katy and Orlando's daughter with a rather long message was shared.

The statement read, "

"Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors [Katy Perry] and [Orlando Bloom]’s new bundle of joy."

" 'We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,' Katy and Orlando told us. 'But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was."

Continuing her message, Katy encouraged her fans to donate to the UNICEF campaign to help every mother and newborn get the care they need. The singer provided the link to the UNICEF Page on her Instagram bio.

Following the announcement, the couple is showered by good wishes from the fans. 

One fan wrote, "Congratulations, [Katy Perry] and [Orlando Bloom] — and thank you for speaking up for maternal health. Wishing you and your new family all the joy in the world. 🌼"

Another fan wrote, "She is here!! Congratulations Katy & Orlando!! So happy for you both!!! 💗🌼💗"
