Maggie McGuane, 45, is the daughter of Margot Kidder, a Canadian-American actress and activist. Margot Kidder's first marriage to novelist Thomas McGuane resulted in Maggie. Maggie followed in her father's footsteps and became a writer.

She's also done some modeling and worked as a photographer. She, like her mother, is an outspoken activist. Maggie was in the heart of things when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of the United States in 2005, assisting the victims of the terrible 'Category 5' hurricane.

Maggie demonstrated an interest in writing after completing her formal education, and her parents encouraged her to do so. She developed a fascination for photography at the same time, and she tried her hand at it alongside her writing jobs. She tried her shot at modeling before settling down as an activist because she is a multifaceted person.

Maggie McGuane met Chad Franscoviak, a sound engineer and music producer. Maggie and Chad met at Independence Day celebrations in Livingston on July 4th. After dating for a few months, the stunning couple decided to tie the knot. 

The pair married a few days after Thanksgiving in Paradise Valley near Livingston, Montana. Following a set by Cold Hard Cash, a Johnny Cash tribute band, Katy Perry, John Mayer, and his band performed another set, and John served as the DJ for the following few hours.

During Livingston's legendary 4th of July celebrations, Maggie, a mother and writer, and Chad, a sound engineer and music producer, met in a local bar. They fell madly in love rapidly and decided to marry a month before the wedding date. Maggie's two kids, Maisie and Charlie, fit right in and adored Chad just as much as Maggie did.

Her brother performed the ceremony, Charlie, Maggie's eleven-year-old son, served as best man, and Maisie, Maggie's fourteen-year-old daughter, served as maid of honor.

Maggie McGuane, Former Husband, Walter Kirn

On August 26, 1995, Maggie McGuane shared vows with novelist Walter Kirn. He was 32 years of age at the time of her wedding, and she was just 19 years old. Maggie went forward with the wedding despite being 13 years younger than Kirn since she was profoundly in love with the novelist. 

Melville, Montana, hosted the wedding. Maggie chose a Lutheran church as her wedding destination because she wanted her wedding to be traditional, despite the fact that it was roughly 80 miles from the nearest airport, Bozeman.

Maggie and Walter Kirn married and lived in Livingston until their marriage ended in divorce. The couple has two children together, and they are named Charlie and Mazie Kirn.
