Though the rumors have been flying around that Mira Sorvino has undergone some cosmetic procedures to stay young, the actress herself has denied it. The 54-year-old actress herself once claimed on Twitter that she has never had plastic surgery, and she's not fond of such an idea as per House And Wipes. 

Sorvino wrote: 'Well, I disagree, and I would never comment on your appearance. Your honesty is snark and I am clearly not your love. And by the way, I have never had plastic surgery.'

The actress had tweeted the statement to reply to a comment on her own Twitter post, where Mira had shared a picture of her with actresses Kate Bosworth and Rosanna Arquette. As the actress herself has denied any rumors of undergoing under the knife, it's safe to say that she's not done plastic surgery.

Mira Sorvino's Early Life

Mira Sorvino was born in Manhattan. Her mother, Lorraine Ruth Davis, was a drama therapist for Alzheimer's disease patients and a former actress. Her father, Paul Sorvino, was a reputed character actor and film director. Miro had two siblings, Michael Sorvino and Amanda Sorvino.

As a child, Sorvino was raised in Tenafly, New Jersey. She used to write and act in plays in the backyard with her childhood friend Hope Davis and theater productions at Dwight-Englewood School during her childhood years. 

Mira excelled in all of her studies in school, and after graduation, she went to Harvard University. While at Harvard, she studied for one year as an exchange student with CIEE in Beijing, China, where she became fluent in Mandarin Chinese. 

In 1989, Sorvino graduated from Harvard magna cum laude with a degree in East Asian studies. Talking about her private life, she is married to Christopher Backus.
