As soon as Debra posted the photo, comments accusing her of plastic surgery began pouring in. Some commentators hinted towards the subject at hand discreetly saying things like, "Why can't you just age gracefully, like you were?"

Considering the fact that Debra never really hid any of her cosmetic procedures in the past, it is only safe to assume that she is indeed telling the truth.
Over time, Debra Messing - who divorced her husband of 11 years - remained very open about the cosmetic procedures that she received. "I don't care about that judgment," she told Good Housekeeping back in 2017 of her decision to get CoolSculpting (or cryolipolysis).

In the same interview, Messing revealed,
Whether or not someone else wants to judge me because I want to go into a dermatologist's office for an hour and have fat frozen off of my body and three months later I can feel a little bit better in a bathing suit — I don't care. I gave birth. I had a little pouch on my stomach that wouldn't go away. We have hormones. Things happen. Things move. And I'm lazy! I don't wanna do sit-ups for four hours a day. I'm a single mom and I work full-time.
The procedure brought such excellent results for Debra that she became CoolSculpting's brand ambassador after trying it for the first time.
