As per Pop Culture, Tiger King star Jeff Johnson committed suicide at the age of 58. Yes, he took his own life.

The former reptile dealer, who appeared briefly in the fourth episode of the Netflix how's the first season, died in September. According to TMZ, the incident occurred on September 8, following an argument with his wife in their garage, when he brought a Glock-style handgun up to his head and shot himself.

At the time, their children were at home. His wife immediately dialed 911 for a suicide attempt, and Johnson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Johnson's wife told authorities that her husband had no history of mental illness and had never attempted suicide.

Johnson's death is the latest trade to befall Tiger King's since the docuseries swept the internet in March 2020. Another Tiger king subject Erik Cowie was found dead in a New York City apartment in September. Investigators discovered a large bottle of vodka at the scene and discovered Cowie drank excessively.
