Soon after she got released from prison, Abby Lee Miller she again faced another problem in her life, and it was much bigger than the jail time. She was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She was taken to the hospital due to 'excruciating neck pain' and arm weakness, before the diagnosis was made.

Following the diagnosis, Abby went through radiation, 10 rounds of chemotherapy, and spinal surgery. Spinal surgery left her unable to walk and confined to wheelchair.
