Relationship rumors about Stassie and Centineo originated in June 2020, when Stassie's followers noticed her and Centineo exchanging passionate Instagram messages. "Lady, please return my jacket." "What are you talking about, it's my jacket," Karanikolaou joked as she published a scorching image of herself wearing an oversized black and red sports jacket and a white T-shirt.

On Halloween weekend in 2020, photographers saw the new couple kissing. While Karanikolaou was dressed as a pink Power Ranger, the two kissed and held hands as they left a party.
