Ben Askren and Amy Askren tied the knot on April 9, 2010. On the day of their tenth marriage anniversary in 2020, Ben Askren took to Instagram to mark the occasion.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN, the famous YouTuber Jake Paul referred to Ben Askren's wife Amy Askren as 'thicc.' The conversation took an awkward turn when Jake Paul had to explain his statement afterward.

'She thicc, bro,' Jake Paul said.

'She's what?,' Helwani asked. 

'She's thicc, with lke two c's – t-h-i-c-c,' Jake answered. 'Thicc like she's real thicc. So, I don't know, like, I just thought she's bad. I don't know. I mean, maybe after I beat Ben. I don't know.'

Ben Askren, on the other hand, did not seem to mind Jake Paul's remarks at all. He instead found it funny and tweeted about it. 'This is laugh out loud awkward!!!,' he wrote. 'But yes @jakepaul 

I find my wife very attractive also, LOL.'

Ben Askren also posted a video on Instagram in which his wife Amy reacted to Jake Paul's comments.

On the topic of the fight, Ben Askren has talked to ESPN about it. 'I know Jake Paul is enjoying pretending he is a fighter,' he told ESPN. 'I think on April 17, he is going to have a rude awakening to what being a fighter is really like. Jake has led a privileged life and doesn't really know what the meaning of being a fighter is.'
