Jon Miller is an American sportscaster, best known for his broadcasts of Major League Baseball. He worked as a play-by-play announcer for the San Francisco Giants since 1997 and was a baseball announcer for ESPN from 1990 to 2010. For his works so far, he's received the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010.

He embarked upon a weight loss journey to rescue himself from the harm his heavy body shape was doing to him, for his own well being.
The main changes Jon brought to his life was in his diet and exercise. He changed his eating habits, cutting down the consumption of unhealthy junk and processed food products to eating healthy and organic vegetables and fruit items. He completely avoided food products high in carbohydrate content and limited his alcohol intake.

Additionally, Jon Miller supplemented his healthy diet plan with a daily dose of physical exercise. Even in his sixties, Jon knew the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy body and overall well being. He engaged in an intense exercise routine in addition to his right diet plan, both of which were the major factors in his weight loss success.
Jon Miller was born on Hamilton Air Force Base. He grew up in Hayward, California, where he listened to Giants announcers Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons on the radio since childhood. He attended his first baseball game in 1962, a 19–8 Giants' victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Candlestick Park.

Jon Miller graduated from Hayward High School in 1969 and went to study at the College of San Mateo. He took broadcasting classes at college, where he also began his broadcasting career at the college's FM radio station (KCSM-FM) and UHF/PBS TV station (KCSM-TV), which reached much of the Bay Area.
